What is Team Building With Team Insights?
There's a quote by Andrew Stanton, writer of Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and WALL-E. We're going to split it into two parts.
The first part is this:
"We are all wired a certain way and we don't have any say in it. And there's no changing it. All you can do is learn to recognise it and own it."
When you think of your team members, do they all see the world how you see it? Or do you find some of them… slightly frustrating at times?
Maybe you find them too loud. Too abrupt. Too fast. Too slow. Too persnickety. Too chatty. Too… you get the jist.
Each person has their own unique strengths, yet if we only look through our personal lens, it's easy to miss those strengths. Often we interpret them as points of friction, leading to misunderstanding, miscommunication, and even conflict.
Before you attend the main session, you'll go through a Leadership Profile. This uses a powerful tool designed to give you insight into your own strengths and show you how YOU see the world. If we look back at the quote above, you'll "...learn to recognise it and own it".
This matters because the second half of the quote is this:
"A major threshold is passed when you learn what drives you and you take the wheel and steer it."
If you have a desire to "take the wheel and steer your life, we've created a video to talk you through how to make the most of your Leadership Profile.
What's this got to do with a Team Building session?
Great question, thanks for asking it. The first step is to understand yourself and how you show up in the world. Only then can you understand your impact on those around you.
In the Team Building With Team Insights, through fun, engaging exercises, you'll discover how your team members see the world. You'll not only understand what makes them different, you'll appreciate and value their unique strengths.
Conflict into Complement
When you have insight into WHY people behave the way they do and have language to describe it, everything changes.
You understand why Jim is so focused on the details, or why Anna can't send a short message or start a meeting without talking about
Ultimately, as you start to appreciate each of your team members strengths, you become more understanding and tolerant of them. You'll know the words and phrases to use (you'll be given a cheatsheet!) so they hear your message and understand what you need to communicate.
Our goal is to help your team bond, appreciate each other, and create an environment where you can trust each other at a deeper level.
How do I get the most

Over the course of your career, you've probably been asked to do several assessments. And a lot of them end up in your desk drawer, for a moment that’s interesting, but it doesn't really make a lasting impact in your life.
The Team Insights with Team Building process that you're about to go through is not like that. You're going to take an assessment where there are no right or wrong answers. You will use it individually as well as seeing it through your team's eyes. It is designed to give shared language to enable you to use it on a day-to-day basis.
Yes, the best profile to have is your own. There's nothing in your profile that is negative or that can be used against you. Diversity in communication style is a critical component of working well with others.
Your profile can't be used against you. It's all about communication and connecting. It's about understanding you and how you communicate so that you can show up and be your best self.
The more open and honest you are, the more clarity and insight you'll gain into who you are as a person, especially around your strengths.
